New Bathrobe

George got a new bathrobe and is so proud of it! It's the first robe he has ever owned and he finds it quite novel. He is especially excited to know he can wear it over his naked body! It will be fun to take it to the pool this summer.

Dinner Time

One night while Nana was here I was trying to get pictures that would show the doctor how funny George's coloring gets when I think he's having trouble getting enough oxygen-he gets purple around his eyes and very dark all around his nose from eyes to mouth.  It looks very strange, but it absolutely would not be captured on film.  I gave him some albuterol anyhow and it cleared right up.  But here is a series of pictures that are rather funny simply because I'm trying to capture something upcapturable...

We Love it when Nana Visits!

George took this picture of Nana-thus it is taken from LOW.  But it shows the joy she gets from watching her Grandson play, and his joy in having Nana here.  Everytime he sees an airplane now from our living room window, he says, "Is that Nana's airplane?"  When I tell him again that Nana is back in England, he says, "I want Nana to stay here, in our house."  Everytime.  He misses his Nana, and we're so grateful that she could get over here to visit!

And this is what Nana was watching right before George took her picture...once again, a naked boy runneth!  (But he's smart and wears slippers, lest his feet get cold on the hard wood floors).

Day at the Zoo with Nana

Rainy Day

Nana bought George a Basketball Hoop

This was his favorite gift ever.  He wakes up every morning and says, "Can I play basketball now."

After all of that running and shooting (and scoring impressively), he ran to me, grabbed his sippy cup, gulped down some water in a true hurry to get back to shoot, ripped off his sweatshirt and shirt, and went back to shooting (and scoring!).

I am posting the next picture again as it is so clear how happy he was to receive this gift.  He was over the moon, and still, 3 weeks later, it is by far his favorite toy.

Look at the joy and pride in George's face as he shoots and scores!  And a proud Poppa looking on.  This was a gift from Nana, and we managed to get all the pictures (including one of Grandma and Poppa) and none of Nana.  But at least she got to see the joy-all thanks to her.  We love you Nana Wendy!

Day at the Park with Nana

Yesterday was Nana's last day with us in the US. Luckily I had the day off so I could spend a bit more time together. We went out for coffee and cake, then to the park. George played on the springs, the slide, the swings, and even opened shop to serve "hot cocoa and cookies."
