Playdate at the Park and the Beach

We went for a nice walk with 3 other moms and their tots, and the halfway point was a lovely park with a playground and a beach right on Lake Washington.  George had a wonderful time playing on the playground, and he especially loved the bouncy bridge.  He likes to climb up onto it, then run in place, pounding his little feet and making that bridge wiggle and sway.

Like his fancy new shades?  They have Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too on them.  George loves them and wears them when it's sunny.  He says, "Sun, bight.  Gyasses?"

After George tired of the playground, we headed over to the beach. The last time we were there, George really hated the feeling of being barefoot in the sand.  This time he insisted on taking his shoes off, and he had a wonderful time playing in the sand and in the water.  His favorite activity was taking a cup into the water, filling it up, then walking out of the water to pour it into the sand.  Then repeat!

As you can imagine, he got his pants quite wet.  I was not very prepared and didn't have a change of clothes, so he rode home in the stroller with just his shirt, his shades and his diaper on.  He was sprawled in his usual laid back position, waving to EVERYONE we passed, and most of the cars that drove by.  When a group would walk by, George would wave and say, "Hi!"  He loved the attention and got many, many remarks on the way back to the car.
