PEPS! Five Toddlers, All Boys, One House...

We had so much fun on Saturday morning.  We had our PEPS group over for brunch.  There are five little boys, including George, all within two months of each other in age.  They are all so cute and had a lot of fun spreading George's toys all around the house.  The parents had fun too...with 8 other parents there (one spouse was unable to attend), you don't really have to watch your child...and we all kind of watched all the boys.  We had some great food, good coffee, even some mimosas for those who wanted.  And lots of conversation-about kids and not, which is good.

It's so fun to watch each boy and how he has grown and changed.  We've known each other since the boys were about 5 months old.  At this stage of their development, they play "next to" each other rather than "with" each other, which is fun to see.  And probably better most of the time as this is also the age of "mine" and "now."

This is James and Ryan playing in the kitchen in George's "kitchen."  James is putting a sippy cup in the refrigerator.

Look at them take turns!
Ryan also had fun pushing Brendan in George's toy stroller...

George thought it looked like fun, and like he'd never thought to do that!
After a few hours, before everyone headed home, we tried to get another picture of all five boys sitting on the sofa.  We have a cute one about 6 months ago.  I think perhaps we should have tried this earlier in the morning when all boys were fresh.  But it was pretty funny...

Then we decided it might be better to just get each boy on a lap.  So here is a cute picture of our five boys, each in the lap of one of their parents.

After all of that, George decided it was great fun to push Brendan in the stroller.
Brendan wanted to push though...so George traded.
But B was pretty tired, and it just wasn't right...watch George try to fix things.  Sweet boy.
And the brunch ended on a happy note!
