Brittas Bay with the Veevers

I realize I'm getting in trouble here for getting all the pics with one set of in-laws up, but not the other.  So, sorry to all and now I'm getting caught up!

After we said our very sad goodbyes to the Harry's, we drove up to the cottages to get settled in.  Chris' Mum and step-Dad arrived, with his brother and sister, within minutes, so our sad goodbye got to change to very happy hellos.  Chris and I walked from our cottage over to theirs with George riding on my shoulders.  We rounded the bend and he saw our family.  George called out, "Nana!" and I could hear the smile from above is was so large.  I popped him down from my shoulders and he ran, full-out, the last 30 feet right into his Nana's arms.  That was a beautiful moment.  George had not seen his Nana since early February, when he was only 18 months old.  Yet he recognized her in an instant and ran into her arms in joy!  Then he got to meet his Granddad Chris and his Unky Mike, and see again his Auntie Jenny.  He was so happy to see them, and it was a joy for us.

These next pictures are of the cottages where we stayed in Brittas Bay Village, and then of some "family time."

In the distance, in the picture above, you can see small white forms in the distance?  Those are the windmills out in the Irish Sea.

The view from our bedroom (zoomed in 3x).

The view from our bedroom.

The view from George's bedroom!

Now, as  you can tell, the beach was a bit further than the 500m as advertised.  But still a lovely place.
Unky Mike and Auntie Jennie at tea (dinner or supper to us).
Nana coming to join George and his Auntie and Uncle.
In the above photo, l-r, Chris's Uncle Brian, his step-dad Chris with his back to camera, his Aunt Coral, another Uncle Brian, and his Grandmother Ruby, Gami to George.
Not a great picture, but at least we can see Granddad Chris's face!  And Gami's too.
Uncle John (wedding 2 days later) joined us for a couple nights.
Uncle John at his premarital best!

George, hiding in the furniture!

George meeting his Great Grandma Ruby, whom he promptly named Gami.  Later he would say, "dat my gate gandma Gami!"

Hanging out after dinner at Mike writes his Best Man speech.  It was very well done!
