An Outing with Nana and Granddad!

Chris, George and I went out to Wicklow town one afternoon to look around.  Chris wanted to do some fishing, so we headed in and he bought some gear.  Then we met up with Wendy, Chris and Jenny and had lunch at a chippy, where I had truly the most terrible Donner Kebab anyone has ever made.  But we still had fun!

Then Chris, George and I headed to the seafront so he could fish.  What looked from the distance like a lovely sandy beach turned out to be a rather steeply sloped stone beach.  But the water was clear and green, and it was beautiful, if hard to walk on, especially for a two year old.

The beach was pretty steep, so George sat on the beach to throw rocks into the water.  When he couldn't hit the water, he'd slide down the slope leaving a trail of wet behind him.

Climbing back up was also a challenge!

And while Daddy fished, Granddad Chris chilled out to his music.

George had a lot of fun crawling on Mommy and climbing rocks!

On our way to the beach, we walked across a lovely bridge where a couple of women and their small children were "fishing" for crabs.  They were using a large beef bone on a string and pulling up loads of small, black crab.  I wonder if it would work for Dungeness???
